Many businesses, including heavy industry, combustion plants, mineral extraction, users of high volumes of solvent, and some intensive farm operations, are liable under Environmental Permit regulations to apply for a permit from the Environment Agency or Local Governement regulator to operate their process.
IPPC permiting applications are a very onerous task which requires the Operator to demonstrate that Best Available Techniques (BAT) are employed at the installation, along with air dispersion modelling, noise impact assessments, habitats and ecology impact and environmental risk assessments. Undertaking this job can be a time-consuming endeavor which can be a major distraction to a company and is therefore best outsourced to a competent consultant.
IPPC Consultants Ltd have successfully completed permit applications and variations for several sites, including printing, metal coating, minerals, animal rendering, speciality chemicals, treatment of medical waste and energy from watse projects. We will work with clients throughout the application process from the preliminary assessments, site survey and information/data collection to the submission of the completed application to the regulator authority.
We will:
- Obtain, collate and present all the required information for completion of the application.
- Act as first point of contact between the client and the regulator.
- Represent clients in all meetings with the regulatory authority.
- Undertake or requisition and project manage all necessary works to achieve authorisation.
- Provide agreed, regular reports on the progress of the application to the client
